Our new mentors

Today we had a interactive session with our mentors Ms Mita and Ms Reema Mitra and our group name is Prevent Poverty. Only me and Farhan were present. We discused the matrix of our topic like the CI, LOI, Attitudes, LP, Concepts, Related concepts, and Skills. We made our new central idea and Lines of inquiry. I gave some ideas and Farhan gave ideas and our mentors gave ideas and we formed our matrix. The central idea that we made the common one was also changed. 

Our Actions

On 14th March we had a Concert that's why we didn't do a lot a studies. We practiced from 8:30 to 11:30. When we came back we ate our snack and we started our exhibition work with our exhibition groups. We discussed our central idea that the groups made last week. After finalizing the central idea we discussed the concepts, learner profiles, attitudes, AK strands and skills. Then we decided that who can help us for our action and we also decided our 3 actions. Then we pasted them in the a paper where we have to show that how much important the action is. Then we went for our Friday activities. Then after activities we went for the concert.   

Teaching the primary students.

Today we went to a field trip where we taught students of Mankhal primary school. We left on 1:15 PM. I and Sharlin taught how to make bracelets and necklaces with strings and beads. We got 1500 beads and strings for just 4 kids they were many varieties of beads. When the teaching session started I was really nervous and I was calling Parinita constantly to translate. Those kids were not understanding English and Hindi but it wasn't their fault that they don't know Hindi and English. We started and I was thinking that how many times we have to explain them but it wasn't like that we just explained them only once and they started their work and each of them made a bracelet and necklace. They were so creative and they didn't know about pattern but they were excellent. We had enough groups to explain different forms of Art.  

We made Exhibition groups

We made the exhibition groups today but we did a lot of things before that like we did the bus stop activity where we were divided into 6 groups. We wrote some points each station and the topics were Corruption, Poverty, Global warming, Wild life conservation, Terrorism, and Human rights. In my group I, Fiza, Sanil, Farhan, and Sai kiran were there. Then we made questions on the topic that we chose and we had a second choice. When Mrs Safura told that who ever chose Poverty come in this corner.  After making all the groups ma'am shuffled some people and made groups sealed. Now in my group there is Iliyan.C, Farhan.G, Faza.L, and Eliyan.N. We divided our jobs with each other and we are starting after March.                                                   

My Exhibition Journey

My journey of exhibition till here was good and we are the first 6 graders to do an PYP exhibition in the Aga Khan Academy. My issues are Racism, Human rights, Poverty, Deforestation, Dowries and my chosen ones are Racism, Poverty and Human rights. We saw prezi's, PPT's  and we heard our teachers saying vocally about the PYP exhibition. We have a day when we work for Exhibition and we discuss how different people help us in different ways. There are parents teacheres mentors involved in this PYP exhibition. We can have field trips and guest speakers for our understanding of the topic that we choose. We recently went to a field trip to Niraj international school. Where we saw the Niraj international school student's had a PYP exhibition where they choose different topics and they were sharing their knowledge about that topic. But while researching we have to work on our communicating skills and we have to co- operate with each other to get the final and a better product of your research. I saw that those people didn't planned what to say and what to not. So I think I am ready to do the exhibition with a group.
